The Pisgah Tavern. Located on old Highway 64 in the early 1940′s, Pisgah tavern was a hangout for young people. The tavern sold beer (according to one former teenager) “even when it wasn’t legal.” From left to right are Mr. Hunter (owner), Johnny Hunter (his son), Mary Vannah, Leslie Coleman, Kathleen Wilson, Jean Dixon, Mr. Fred Hunter (also owner), Buddy Green, and Irene Tinsley.
